OLL Giving Tree

The Giving Tree will be part of Our Lady of Lourdes holiday preparations again this year. Our Giving Tree is a blessing to so many people, both givers and receivers. You may choose to give a gift of money or a specific item. The different ornaments symbolize the following organizations that benefit from your generosity.

Star: Gifts for mothers and children who were helped by the Bethany House this past year. Size and gender and general description are written on the star. The gifts will be distributed at their annual Christmas party. Please do not wrap these gifts. These gifts are wrapped by each mother for her children at this party. This allows the mother to feel more involved with the gift giving. Some stars request donation of gift-wrap, ribbon and tape.

Stocking: Gifts for needy families from Lower Price Hill Community School (formerly St. Michael’s Parish) Toys, blankets, clothing, and household items are needed. Please do not wrap these gifts.

Snowman: These gifts go to the elderly in our area. Gifts of toiletry items (for example: shampoo, soap, hand lotion, tissues, razors, shaving cream, etc.) are requested for the gender specified on the snowman. Please do not wrap these gifts. Instead give us gift bags. Thank you.

Children: A gift of money to help pay for tuition for the needy children at St. Boniface School.
Tree: Gifts for families in our area, which are distributed by the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Age, gender and general description are written on the tree. Please wrap these gifts.

Angel: A gift of money to be distributed to the following organizations: Council of Christian Communions (Jail Ministry), Drop In Center, Our Daily Bread, Tender Mercies, and St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Bell and Wreath: A gift of money or specific items for Healthy Moms & Babes and Pregnancy Center West. These organizations offer counseling and support for young women. Please do not wrap these gifts.

St. Nicholas: The organization is Toyful Joyful. They host a Christmas luncheon for 500 needy inner-city children from Cincinnati Public Schools. Each child is given a wrapped toy during the lunch .
