“listen to Jesus, because he is my beloved Son"
Sunday, March 8, 2020
Today, we encounter Abram moving to a new place. We learn about the blessing and promise of abundance to him. The disciples struggle to understand Jesus as he is transfigured on the mountain before them. The early Christians are strengthened as they work to figure out how to live the Gospel.
May we continue to struggle with our own ongoing questions and understanding about who Jesus is. Do not be discouraged. If our hearts are open, we can trust that there will be people and experiences to help us along the way.
Keep in mind and in your hearts these words, “listen to Jesus, because he is my beloved Son.” God the Father says this to everyone of us: to me, to you, to everyone, all people! The path of Lent going forward is making sure we, “Listen to Jesus!” Don’t forget.
A special thank you to those who prepared the young people for Confirmation. They were confirmed by Archbishop Schnurr this past week. Continue to hold them in your prayers.
Please join me in welcoming Peg Delaney to Our Lady of Lourdes as your new Music Director.
Take some more time to read on, there are plenty of activities here at Lourdes during Lent. Check them out in today’s bulletin.
Have a blessed week! Fr. Len
